Caffeine is mostly found in soft drinks, tea, and energy drinks. In the US there is more consumption of caffeinated drinks than any other. Researches show that caffeine is one of the most consumed bioactive substance. The drink that most people drink at least once a day is coffee. Most people use it to keep themselves awake during work hours or to stay awake during school. Most teenagers drink more coffee than adults do. The effects of caffeine on the body are positive effects in long term memory. Caffeine is not bad for your health but it needs to be limited. The most researched topic of caffeine is the effects on children. There are many links between diabetes type 2 and consumption of caffeine at an uncontrollable rate.

The quotes that I am going to use are because they will help me backup my evidence. They are going to help me explain the cons and pros of caffeine intake. The quotes also help with having done research and having reliable source.

“ A daily in intake of three to four 8 oz cups of brewed coffee may be considered moderate for most adults.”

“Excessive caffeine intake has been associated with headaches, nausea, anxiety, hypertension, and restlessness.”

The authors of the article are from the university/institution of health. The website was .edu and didn't have any bias in it. It gave a counter argument of the benefits of caffeine and the cons. It tried to limit the statistics, but always being backed up by facts.

I am going to use it as my basis for my argument and my counter argument. This was mostly information backed by facts that will help me with a reliable source. I will also use the quotes to help people the emphasis that the authors had on caffeine. The major ideas that I will use is the idea of caffeine consumption can be limit in adults only.
